Speed Limit in Eagle Cove is 25 mph so what can we do about speeders?
I know there has been an issue for some time concerning people driving over the posted speed limit in Eagle Cove. We have had discussions with Chesterfield County Department of Transportation and Police about possible remedies listed below:
1 - Speed cameras - at this time they are only used for school and construction zones
2 - Additional fees for speeders - this was attempted but it would take a majority of all residents to support this. A survey was sent out and there has to be at least 51% of residents who would reply in support. Key note here is no reply to the survey is counted as a "not in support". With very few residents who responded it was denied
3 - Speed bumps - now known as speed cushions was pursed, without getting into lots of details here it is a very lengthy process but the key item to note is a survey would have to be sent out to each resident and at least 51% responding in support. Based on #2 above and discussions with the county it was decided at this time to not pursue this issue
4 - We have asked for additional police presence with radar which the county has provided, however they do not have unlimited resources.

For 2025 we have kept the annual dues/assessments at the same low price of only $75.00. Dues can be paid by mailing a check to Eagle Cove POA, 20001 Oak River Drive, South Chesterfield, VA 23803. You can also pay via Venmo, our name on Venmo is Eagle Cove POA and we ask that you please include your address.

Eagle Cove property owners who have paid their annual assessments are invited and encouraged to register under the "Members" tab above. Please note if you are already registered you do not have to register again. Registered members have access to additional information and features. Property owners who have not paid their assessments will not be allowed to register and will only have access to limited information and features on this site.
