Annual assessment/dues of only $75.00 for 2024 are now due. If you have not had the opportunity to pay your share we ask that you please consider supporting our community by paying your annual assessment/dues as soon as possible. Assessments can be paid by mailing a check to Eagle Cove POA, 20001 Oak River Drive, South Chesterfield VA 23803, or pay by Venmo (Eagle Cove POA).
In preparation for the resurfacing of 2 of our Pickle ball courts we had the entire court area cleaned. We would like to recommend and give a special thanks to Jonathan Sloan, owner of Hammerdown Power washing. This is their 5th year of power washing and services include - House washes, decks, patios, fences, sheds, sidewalks and one story roofs. Over the years they have stained over 400 decks . They wash homes with a softwash system so we will not damage windows or siding . With decks they use chemicals and low pressure . Reminder that VA Cars and Carts is helping us celebrate by donating $200.00 to our POA for any Golf Cart purchased by a resident in Eagle Cove. Just be sure to mention that you live in Eagle Cove and appreciate the $200.00 donation to our POA.
Thanks to all who came out to the Spring Community meeting. The 2024 budget was passed with a unanimous vote. There were many other topics discussed with valuable suggestions and feedback from the audience . Minutes will be posted in the near future.
Eagle Cove property owners who have paid their annual assessments are invited and encouraged to register under the "Members" tab above. Please note if you were registered in 2023 you do not have to register again. Registered members have access to additional information and features. Property owners who have not paid their assessments will not be allowed to register and will only have access to limited information and features on this site.
Why should I pay my assessment and what has the Eagle Cove POA done for me in the past year?
*The Eagle Cove POA by-laws were updated to be more concise for a neighborhood property owners association
*Eagle Cove now has a website that has important information for Eagle Cove residents and has additional information for all POA members who have paid their assessments.
*Police newsletters and reports are now available on the Eagle Cove website
*Annual assessments of $75.00 can now be paid via Venmo to make it easier for residents, a link is available on our website as well as a QR code on flyers
*We continue to pay our real-estate taxes for the Pickleball/Tennis property and parking lot. We continue to pay other legal fees
*Our POA has to pay monthly to Dominion Energy for electricity for lights
*Members of the POA Board of Directors researched and changed our insurance company that saved our POA money while maintaining the same liability insurance
*Invested some Money Market funds to a 13 month CD for a better return
*A new Common Area Committee (CAC) was formed which focuses on maintaining and improving our common areas
*The CAC changed to a new lawn care company which continues to cut grass at common areas bi-weekly and saved us money.
*The CAC has provided labor to maintain the Pickleball/Tennis court area and other assets.
*New solar lights have been installed at the Tennis/Pickleball court parking lot for security
*Please note, maintaining our common areas increases all of our property values
*Eagle Cove Board sponsored our annual fall social and also coordinated a Chili Peppers baseball night
*Promoted the Easter Sunrise Service at Thomason Pointe offered by Welsey Chapel
*Offered Free Pickleball Clinics in the spring
*Promoted Community Yard Sale
*Raffled off door prizes at Annual Meeting
*Met 88% of our goal of 100 Paid Eagle Cove Assessments.
*2024 Elections were held with some changes and additional members were added to the Board of Directors
*At this time any resident who is current on their assessment only has to pay a one time $10.00 landing fee at Seven Springs Marina which last for one year
*We understand that Eagle Cove became the first legal Golf Cart Community in Chesterfield County. This was a lot of work and we did this by working together. We do owe a special note of thanks to our Board of Supervisor Kevin Carroll and his staff.
*The biggest accomplishment was bringing our community and neighbors together
What is the Eagle Cove POA planning to do for me in 2024?
*Continue activities described above.
*While almost everything costs more we plan to keep your annual assessments of only $75.00 which is last year's rate. We are optimistic that we can support the proposed budget with no increase in your annual assessment by increasing membership in our POA
*Electrical work at Ivan Road entrance continues and new lights will be installed at both entrances.
*Entrance structures will be power-washed to improve appearance
*We are forming a new Family Activity committee to provide such family activities as
Easter Egg Hunt with a visit from the Easter Bunny
baseball night with the Chili Peppers
a 4th of July golf cart parade to name just a few.
*Evaluating additional activities at the Pickleball/Tennis courts
*Our annual Social event will be in the Fall time frame
Eagle Cove POA is now the first legal Golf Cart Community in Chesterfield VA.
This is due to the fact that the Eagle Cove POA community worked together to accomplish this. We would like to say a very special thanks to our Chesterfield County Supervisor Kevin Carroll and his staff for their help and guidance.
As a reminder there will be 3 restrictions that we have to abide by:
1 - Driver of a Golf Cart or Utility Vehicle on public roads must have a valid drivers license
2 - The Golf Cart or Utility Vehicle must display on its back a "slow moving" vehicle symbol. (Amazon sells these)
3 - If used outside of sunrise to sunset the vehicle must have appropriate lights
